When Maria contacted me, she knew exactly what she wanted. She knew she wanted an outdoor maternity session, and a milk bath add-on. She got her two sessions, but unfortunately, that was the only thing that went to plan!
The evening before her scheduled milk bath, I went to take a shower, and discovered that our hot water heater had gone out. I highly doubted that she would want to take an ice milk bath at 9am that next morning, so I contacted her to postpone the session.
Luckily, my amazing husband was able to fix the hot water heater the next day, so the milk bath was only postponed a couple of days. (And bonus: I didn’t have to buy all new flowers & milk!)
Then the next weekend we were scheduled to head about halfway up Mt. Lemmon for the outdoor maternity session. Well, that Friday, was the record snowstorm that dropped three feet of snow in Ski Valley, and closed the mountain for four days!
Needless to say, we had to change locations at the very last minute! So we headed to Sabino Canyon instead! Luckily, it was a gorgeous day in the canyon & the weather was absolutely perfect!
Well, it all worked out in the end, and we got some gorgeous photos to show for our efforts!
She requested colors that would suggest a baby boy, like blues, purples, oranges & peach. I think the blue hydrangeas looked awesome in the milk!
This portion of the session included her husband & 20 month old daughter. We had a lot of fun chasing this little girl & trying to keep her from running into cactii! Always an exciting prospect with a toddler in the desert!
