This is Part 6 of the 2018 fall family mini sessions highlight reel. To see parts 1, 2, 3 & 4, and 5 click here, here, here, here, and here. This is the first of two posts that cover the private mini sessions photographed throughout the fall season, September through December. There were a total of twelve families that opted for the private family mini sessions last year, each on different dates and at their choice of location.
To read more about my private family mini session offerings, available only on open weekend or Friday evenings, September 14th through December 15th, please see the notes at the bottom of this blog post.
This first blog post will cover the five families that opted for the private family mini sessions that took place in September & October.
This was the very first of my family sessions for the fall/winter season! This family was in town for a wedding, and wanted family pictures with some cactii to remember the trip.
This was one of only three sunrise sessions that I have *ever* done. They are not my favorite, mostly because I am not really an early morning person…and when sunrise is 6am in mid-September, and you have to drive all the way across town…well that means your alarm is going off at 4:30am.
Their little girl wasn’t too happy about the session either, maybe due to jet lag, maybe just because. But with Mom & Dad jumping around like pogo sticks behind my back, we did manage to get a couple of smiles!
This family is near & dear to my heart. I have known them since before any of us had kids (and for me that is more than a decade ago!). So it has been such a pleasure watching this family grow & change over the years, and I have truly enjoyed watching as their kids develop personalities all their own!
This is another family that I have know for many years! I photographed their older boy as a newborn, and every year after that as a family. And I couldn’t be happier now that they’ve added another sweet baby boy that I can watch grow over the years!
The Case family is another newcomer to the Threshold family! I am so glad that I got the meet them. They are quite the family of jokesters – always being goofy, cracking jokes, and even throwing up the bunny ears! But at the heart of it all, they are very sweet & very clearly love each other!
This family from Texas contacted me for a family session. And they wanted a portion of their session to include Grandma & Grandpa (who live in Tucson), and all the grandkids/cousins together. The day was a nice cloudy day at La Mariposa, just before Halloween, the trees were just starting to turn yellow for fall, and the sunset was epic – the whole sky turned pink!
Several weeks ago I posted all of the details of this year’s Fall Family Mini Session Event for 2019, including details on the Private Mini Session options. Please see that post for all the details.
